Missing Bootmgr on new build

I just finished a brand new build with no previous windows installed with an Asus Z170-e and a Samsung 830 Evo 256gb ssd. I decided to download Windows 10 with usb using the windows media manager.

I tried Windows 10 and 8 and switched the boot order to uefi: flash drive and then I saved and quit and reboot to only into an error message

"BOOTMGR is missing Press any key to restart"

So I switched around the boot order just to see what would happen and when I put the ssd first it brought me into a diagnosing your pc and attempting repairs screen where it tried to do an auto repair and it failed. I alook tried to repair from usb and the error message occurred again.

Also to be clear in my boot menu (not in order) it gives me:

Windows Boot Manager (P5: SAMSUNG SSD 830 SERIES (I tried to boot off it but automatic repair came up) Then SAMSUNG SSD 830 then UEFI: Generic Flash Disk 8.07 and Generic Flash Disk 8.07

So I found a new WD hdd just to try and the same exact thing happened while trying to boot with usb but this time when I tried to boot from the hdd for the heck of it the bootmgr was also missing on it.

I doubt it is a problem with Windows Media manager right from the Microsoft website but I don't know what it could be. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do you have 10 & 8 on this PC?

Windows Boot Manager (P5: SAMSUNG SSD 830 SERIES) should be at the top, to boot off a GPT drive (the format on your SSD) the UEFI bios uses the WBM to store the location on the SSD that the windows boot files are.

Automatic repair is the ssd I expect, not entirely sure why it is running auto repair, maybe you didn't close it right at some stage, or if PC restarts a lot, it can get stuck in auto repair. How far did you get into the install? << windows is on this SSD

If yotu want to boot off USB you would set UEFI: Generic Flash Disk 8.07 as the top device
