Missing CPU pin, can that damage my motherboard?

Ok so one of the pins on my CPU broke off when I went to go bend it back and I was wondering if my CPU will still work and if a missing pin can damage my motherboard?

That can depend on what pin it was. I dont have the pinout on my desktop anymore, but some pins are not necessary. Most are.

You'd have to try it. It's highly unlikely to damage your motherboard. There are a lot of ground pins that might not be necessary, so there is even a chance that it might still work (not a very high chance though). Definitely no more OCing should be attempted on a damaged CPU.
If you have very high end soldering equipment you can actually solder the pin back on, but really that should only attempted by experts with specialised soldering equipment.

^^ +1 on that. It may work perfectly fine, it may not work at all. It may seem to work fine until it starts being wacky in unexplainable ways, unfortunately there is no way to tell.

So long as the pin is not broken off inside the socket the worst that can happen is the processor wont work.
