Missing Desktop Icons (downloaded apps i.e. "steam")

I have had a problem on Windows 10. My icons for various applications (non stock) have gone missing. Many apps and games like Cities Skylines, Steam, Simcity have gone missing. They all have changed to either a globe or a blank paper icon. It has become very frustrating as I am used to looking at the icon and not actually reading the name. I have tried moving the apps from my HDD to an SSD and, nothing. Please help, unless you hate me for some arbitrary reason.

Hi,

First, do delete those icons that are not displaying the correct icon on your desktop. Next is to open the location where those applications are installed. (C:\Programs Files\"the folder of the application") look for the .exe file for the program or application, right click on it and select Send to Desktop.
