Please help me when i plugged in my toshiba 1tb hdd in a previous computer it was showing all of my files. But now when i plugged it in my laptop at home it doesn`t show a single folder, but as you can see it still shows that it has only 96.8gb left out of 931.. Should i just reformat it? or is there anyway that i can still recover the files without reformatting the drive. Please help.

These are the pics that i took i hope this helps as well

Welcome to Tom's Hardware, Rein!

It seems to me that there might be a file corruption issue. I'd recommend you to try the external drive in another computer and see how it will appear there. You should also try assigning a different drive letter to the external through Disk Management. Here's a tutorial that might help you with that one: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=LhFIFO
Another thing worth doing is testing the drive's health and SMART status using your HDD diagnostics utility (You should be able to find that on their website). If not, check this thread with some utility suggestions: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility

Keep me posted! Hope this helps though!
