MIssing files on drive

Hello there gus . Lost some of my files mostly on my desktop , dont know why . but i had some booting problems had to restart a few times before it booted . and this time when i booted it . all my desktop files all my work disappeared picture's music all of it . shortcuts . and many more . really bumbed off because all my picture all important stuff gone . can anyone help ? no disk errors or anything.

Hey trowinity. It sounds like you having issues with your drive indeed. First backup any important data which you might sill have on the drive. Then data recovery I'd recommend that you take a look at this thread here: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-1644496/lost-data-recovery.html
After you've recovered and backed up your data, I'd suggest that you download the manufacturer's diagnostic tool to test the drive and see what you're dealing with.

Well I'm not sure how I helped if the files were already there, but I'm glad that everything's OK after all.
But I'd still recommend that you test the drive with the manufacturer's diagnostic tool just to be on the safe side. 😉
