Missing Files on SSD

So basically the issue I'm having is that I attempted to install Linux Ubuntu on a separate partition of my SSD, which I set to 8GB, however, for some reason it chose to overwrite my windows 7 partition. In attempt to make things better, it appears I have dug myself a bigger whole and no longer have any OS on it. I have access to another computer which I used to try recover important files before I completely wipe it. However, when I looked in Disk Management it only displays 220GB or so - completely missing the files which I had previously on my windows partition. Is there any way to recover these missing files? Or are they lost forever?

I put the disk into another computer running Windows 7. I can view the SSD, but the windows partition doesn't show up in disk management, but the SSD is missing a percentage of the total storage, indicating the files I desire are using the storage space.

When I try install windows on the remaining partition, an error comes up saying that I cannot install it on this disk because it is of GPT format. When I try formatting nothing happens. Any solutions to this problem?

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Basically I had a bunch of irreplaceable files on my Windows 7 Desktop. I want to recover these files, then I will simply factory reset the SSD and then install two OS's.
