I've had a pretty big day, so my brain might not be at a 100%. It really mustn't cause I can't figure this out...
I've got 2 drives - 1 240GB SSD (C: ) and 1 2TB HDD (1.81 actual) (D: ).
A ~300GB folder just disappeared from my D: drive. I use this folder pretty much every day, so I know roughly how big it was.
I know for a fact that D: had 200GB (out of 1.81TB) left on it an hour ago. Actually there has been about 200GB left on it for the past few weeks.
I was deleting files from another folder in D: just before this happened.
Now the thing that's getting me is that I still only have 200GB free on D:. If the folder has really been deleted, then I should have about 500GB left on D:, right?
I've tried the following:
Turned on 'Show Hidden Items'
Run a search in D: for the folder (and a couple of individual files)
Run a search via Start
Checked for errors in D:
Run optimisation for D:
Run a virus scan
Run a malware scan
Restarted windows
I'm on Windows 10. I have BitLocker on and I don't back this drive up.
Can anyone help?
