Missing half of my HD

I have a 1TB drive with 3 partitions on it; 1 primary, 1 for OS back-up recovery, and 1 for Microsoft Office click-to-run that I did not create but that just appeared one day.
I'm getting frequent warnings that I'm running low on drive space, but to the best of everything that I can run diagnostics with, I'm only using about 415 Gb of total space. The system swears I'm using a little over 800, but for the life of me, I can't find that missing/hidden 350 - 400 Gb of data.
I can't see any properties for that MS Office partition, so I can't say how large it is (it reads zero). Multiple AV and malware scans turn up clean, and HD diagnostics continue to say nothing is wrong with the drive. I've removed over 50 Gb of old files to offline storage, but the warnings keep happening.
Despite the diagnostics reading clean, is my hard drive failing, or am I completely missing something?

Hey there, PsiPiper.

Those could be system restore points. Depending on the storage space allowed for that, it could be pretty consuming. Although I'd recommend that you take a look at this article: http://www.howtogeek.com/125923/7-ways-to-free-up-hard-disk-space-on-windows/. It has tips on how to free up disk space and some suggestions on how to find out what's eating up your space.

Hope that helps.

... holy crap, my system restore was set to use 50% of the HD. No wonder I couldn't find it. Thanks immensely!
