So I just built my new computer. Asus prime z370-a, i5-8600k, Corsair aio, gtx 1080, 128g ssd, and 1tb hhd. Problem is that when I got everything together it won’t connect to the internet hard wired. I know the connection works because I used it on my laptop. Because I have no internet I can’t dl drivers. The computer doesn’t have an optical drive so I can’t use the cd. I’ve attempted dling the drives for asus to usb and transferring them that way. Still nothing. I attempted dling the files directly from the cd to usb and transfering that way. Still nothing. I checked bios to make sure the the internet option was enabled. The only things I can think to do is either go buy a portable optical drive and try that or do a fresh install of windows and try the drivers again. Every time I try to install the intel lan drivers it tells me unable to install missing intel (r) files. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks

Here https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/PRIME-Z370-A/HelpDesk_Download/

Select Windows first (Eg. 10, 8.1 etc.)

Under Chipset click "See all downloads", then it should say Management Engine Interface and install it,
I highly recommend you first to update windows to latest point, cause windows updates can do all funky things, like install driver on top of your driver.
You can "probably" disable that http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/faq/id-2763685/stop-windows-automatically-updating-device-drivers.html

And you just download latest drivers what you need, and that should be it.
