Hello,

I replaced the hard drive in an HP Pavilion G6-2211nr Notebook and can't seem to find any drivers that will work with Windows 7 (originally had Windows 8 on it) for the LAN / ethernet chipset. If I can get the LAN working, I can update the rest of the missing drivers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

HP doesn't offer any drivers for your notebook with 7, as you know. Have you tried the community help at HP to see if they can offer any suggestions? I see that have a few LAN drivers posted but I am not sure which make your LAN card is. You can look and see if they have one listed or can point you in the correct direction for your set up. Good luck. http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Wireless-Internet-Home-Networking/bd-p/Internet

I figured out another way. I found my old wi-fi dongle, and one of the USB ports worked, so I installed the software, got on the web through the router, downloaded Advanced System Care, and used the Driver Update tool in it to get all the drivers. Stupid me should've thought about doing that in the first place and not wasted y'all's time. Thanks for the input, though.

Glad to hear you got it fixed DN. Make sure to make a copy of all of your drivers and save them to a dvd or flash drive so that you don't have to go thru the hassle of searching all over again.
