Recently purchased my second m.2 ssd, but cannot install it properly because motherboard box didn't have M.2 nvme screws. I purchased my motherboard in 2022, I didn't notice at that time that it didnt contain the screws..

Did I get used motherboard? Motherboard has been working fine, no issue.. Purchased from amazon trusted retailer.. Or company just forgot to put M.2 screws in. Or someone had taken them out of the box.

The screws are tiny and often overlooked in a tiny plastic bag that appears to be empty and gets thrown away. Yes, it's possible you bought a "refurbished" board and someone else used the screws, but it's equally likely the manufacturer didn't include all the necessary fixings.

Rather than worry about it too much, check the size of the screw in your first M.2 drive and buy another one. If you look on Amazon or similar sites, there are loads of kits for people who don't have the correct fixings. Some kits are for specific manufacturers' boards, others cope with a wide range of sizes.
