I reinstalled Windows 7 on my laptop and got it to run fine, but I'm missing the network and wireless adapters. When I look in device manager, I don't see either of them, so I can't right click and check to see if they're broken. Because they're just missing.

I'm not sure how to identify exactly which laptop I have, but it uses an AMD A6-4455M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics processor.

There is a tab that says "other devices" and under that tab is an "ethernet controller" and a "network controller" with a yellow triangle and exclamation point symbol next to them. Are these related to the problem?

(I'm running a 64-bit laptop)

I accidentally clicked your answer to be the best answer, it was not, and I cannot figure out how to uncheck it. I cannot simply install the drivers for them. This is why I'm asking what I should do here, the drivers are completely missing.

Hi, I downloaded HP ENVY Sleekbook6-1014nr Broadcom Wireless LAN driver and Realtek LAN Drivers on a separate computer and put them on a flash drive and transferred them to the laptop. However, one won't work, sp57110 won't work. Itll open up a window titled Realtek Local Area Network (LAN) Driver - InstallShield Wizard. It'll say that the following file is already on my computer: C:\swsetup\sp57110\AutoInst.exe. and it'll ask if I want to overwrite. So I say "yes to all" but then it'll come up with an error message that says access was denied.

What can I do? I can't connect to the internet with the Ethernet cable, I tried, but the computer won't recognize it, and I didn't see any Ethernet drivers on HP's website for my Sleekbook.

Just run that file:
  • C:\swsetup\sp57110\AutoInst.exe

Code:

This worked. Well, it didn't, but it led me to the right direction: I uninstalled the whole driver and reinstalled it using the autoinst.exe file. Worked fine after that. Thanks
