Hi. I recently got my laptop fixed, however the system was reporting on Nvidia Control Panel that there was no nvidia card (my card is a RTX 2070 Max-Q) so I uninstalled the Nvidia Control Panel thinking I could re-install. I got Geforce Experience back and did a few Driver Updates on my card ut still no Nvidia Control Panel. However, on the Nvidia forums apparently by installing the latest drivers it should also re-install Nvidia Control Panel if it's missing? How can I get it back?

Is the rtx card reading in device manager?

Did you go here for Geforce driver?

Try that, enter fields appropriate for you and download latest Geforce game ready driver in search results.

After that then acquire NvidiaCP from ms store

Trying to install/download anything from the MS store always brings back the same error: "There has been an error -> something unexpected happened"

See this post about repairing ms store. If that is the problem.

Were you able to install Geforce driver at least? By right clicking and run as administrator.
I have looked at Clearing the Microsoft Store Cache and Resetting it so it can install the Control panel through there however it maintains the save memory even if I do the reset through Powershell or Command Prompt as Admin or if I do Repair or Reset through Settings

Hmm how about date and time, is that correct? Wrong info can cause problems like that. also there any pending win updates? Not sure what else to try besides a reset.
There is an update: 2022-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems (KB5016629) however whenever I try it does the thing where it goes to 95% Updated then "Something Went Wrong - Undoing all changes" and it reports in Windows "There was an issue communicating with the group policy services" all the time

What was the reason for getting your laptop repaired?

See here, https://windowsreport.com/windows-update-something-went-wrong-windows-11/

If none of tips work from there then think doing a system reset (keeping your files option) in system recovery is looking likely what you'll need to do.
Both drives (a 256GB SSD and 1TB SSHD) died so I got them replaced (256GB SSD and 1TB SSD). Only thing is the new drives accepted like 3 other updates aswell when I originally tried to do the Windows Update

I went into services.msc and noticed the Group Policy Client is listed as Disabled however the options to let it run or Start it are faded out so I checked its dependencies which were: Mup and Remote Call Procedure (RCP). I RCP but the boxes to start it were faded out still so im guessing I also need to enable Mup only it is not listed in "standard" view of services.msc

Borked Win 11 updates: I would try a repair install, there is a rash of broken updates: https://www.elevenforum.com/t/repair-install-windows-11-with-an-in-place-upgrade.418/
it worked for me. All it does is replaces windows, everything else should be as it is now. Just need to get windows updates again, only took an hour max.

Might fix nvidia
Otherwise you can try running ddu in safe mode, remove all nvidia drivers, log back into normal mode & run windows update and see if it finds the control panel you are missing - https://forums.tomshardware.com/thr...n-install-of-your-video-card-drivers.2402269/
