Hello, I'm running a GA-X58A-UD3R 1366 mobo with a 3.2 ghz i7 960. I recently bought 12 gb of 3x4 Gskill ddr3 1333 ram and installed it in my computer. The computer wouldn't recognize the ram, so I flashed my bios and it recognized the new ram just fine, problem is now the computer says missing operating system. I went into the bios and set the sata to RAID and went into the RAID config and recreated my raid 0 which is two 30gb ssds (kingston). This has not fixed my problem and it still says missing operating system even after fresh install.

Can u reset the BIOS?
Reset the CMOS memory the right way as is described in the motherboard manual using the clear CMOS link with the power cord unplugged.
And when the battery is out, press the power button to discharge all the electricity from the system.

Thanks! that fixed the problem. I've been trying to clear my cmos by just hitting the cmos clear button at the back of the computer, but apparently that wasn't working, so I just took the battery out and voila! Thanks, I've spent most of this afternoon trying to fix this computer and it was as simple as pulling a battery out and putting back in.. Oh well, I'll take it as a learning experience for when I build my next rig.
