Missing operating system message

I have a lenovo ideacenter win7. one month old. if i attempt to cold start from power of condition i get "op sys missing" . no sftwr,no jostling, no bumping ,moving,etc nothing was done to the unit at all. this problem was brought to lenovo for help. they gave me the "pressF2whileturning on machine"fix. it works but ?is why does this happen and does it mean trouble in the future???

Make sure your boot order is correct in the bios.
