This is on the Overclocker UK forum:

Could I ask for the Tom's Hardware community to spread this as much as they can, here and on other forums, and for the mods on this forum to raise awareness of this issue as much as is possible? It's the real thing, I checked on the relevant UK police website (click through from the above link). Let's see what we can do to help this family...fellow PC enthusiast in distress.
