Missing ps2 keyboard

I just bought a new cpu as an upgrade over the previous one. It includes the Gigabyte B-250M D3H motherboard which, according to the internet specs, has a ps2 keyboard/mouse port.

But when I plug my old A4TEC ps2 keyboard into that port, it gets power but it doesn't work. The ps2 mouse I plugged in earlier did work though.

I'm running windows 10.

In the device manager, human interfaces it only shows ps2 mouse, not keyboard/mouse.

I want to keep my old keyboard as it is very hardy & of a design not available in the market at where I live. And it was an expensive one when I first bought it. And I've already went over budget with my cpu upgrade.

I would really appreciate it if anyone could fix my problem.

Thank you for reading.
