Missing space on harddrive?

Hello,

For a while I've noticed my harddrive space fluctuating.

I the image below, you can see my harddrive has 583gb...
I selected the contents of the drive (including hidden files) and it's only 568gb, so where has the missing 15gb gone?

Note: This is a second partition so it does not have windows on it. I've tried disk cleanup, defragmentation, error checking. The recycling bin is empty and it's not reserving space for restore points.

Is it reserving space anywhere else? How can I get that 15gb back? Thanks!

Thanks for the responses so far!

Here's a picture of disk utility and JDiskreport. As you can see they show the same thing, about 15 gb missing somewhere.

Also this is on a laptop so I don't think I can setup a PE environment on a PC (though not 100% sure how to do it)

This is your storage drive right?(not your OS one)
