[SOLVED] Missing SSD

I built a new machine with an initial M.2 for Win10 and a 128GB SSD as a stand-in until I got a larger one. This set-up has worked fine for two weeks. That new SSD has arrived, a 1TB Samsung 860QVO however it is completely undetectable on my machine.

It doesn't appear in disk management, This Computer, diskpart/disk list, device manager.

I know the disk works, when I plug it into my wife's computer it appears, but it's just not visible in mine. I've switched cables for ones I know work and have plugged in an extra power cable instead of using the multisplit one (if that makes sense)

This is driving me nuts and is incredibly frustrating.

Any suggestions?

Please?

You currently also have a M.2 drive installed?
If so, use of that can disable a couple of SATA ports.

"3 When the M.2_1 Socket 3 is operating in SATA or PCIE mode, SATA6G_5/6 ports will be disabled. "
FFFFFFFIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!

Amazing! You were right, looks like 5 & 6 were disabled. I did attempt to connect to a different SATA port in case one was broken but because my graphics card is so chunky I couldn't access them. I pulled the card and plugged into No 1 and voila and a wild SSD has appeared!

Thanks a lot! I really appreciate it.
