well, i'll have my Athlon 2200 at my door tomorrow at around 1:30 from UPS, and i was even thinkin of sending it back so i can grab the 2100 t-bred "b" (or the cpu my distributor offers which is <i>more</i> likely to be the "b" core), and lookin through a chart Tom had put up a lil while ago (<A HREF="http://www.tomshardware.com/cpu/20030217/images/cpu_chart.gif" target="_new">check-it</A>)i had saved on my comp while doin some tech-support i saw somethin that made me happy and that kinda made some sense with other reviews i had seen/read of the 2200 cores - AMD only manufactures athlon 2200 cores in t-bred "b" versions ! well, now i'm happy, and i've got a 3-year warranty (retail box cpu, worth the extra $10 for the warranty)... and like i said, tomorrow will have it, so i'll update and tell you guys if all my worryin' and new found joy is worth it or not and see how far i can OC this sonofabitch... YAY!

So AMD stopped using the T-bredA for the XP2200+... that kinda makes sense. Good luck with your OC!

My dual-PSU PC is so powerfull that the neighbourhood dims when I turn it on 😱

damn fvck sh!t cr@p ! !! ! UPS just showed up and I didn't have change to give the guy and we spent like 10 minutes trying to find two $10 bills for a $20 AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH crap... oh well, was gettin another delivery tomorrow anyways... damn. you'd think by now that the guy would be able to give it to me now with the cash i and have me pay him tomorrow... i mean, he knows my name and address, hehehhehe, and he's been here so often if we saw each-other on the street we'd stop and chat ! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh this sux assssssssss

Sorry to hear that. Both UPS & Fed X know my dogs names, Grand Kids names & Wife. I don't know if they would let me slide either though.

If it ain't broke, take it apart & see why not!

hmmm, got the CPU (and my new Lite-On 52x CDRW!!) yesterday, and the core is marked AXADA2200KV3C (so far so good), AIUGA0238TPAW (now I know the TPAW is a good sign, but AIUG<b>A</b> ?? eehhhhh, I hope what Tom's was sayin about there not bein any T-Bred "A"'s with the Athlon 2200 is true and that that is just the name for it... will see soon enough, just realised my MSI KT3Ultra won't support the 13.5 multiplyer I need, so I need to flash the BIOS (but before I do that my mobo's battery is dying so I'm gonna change it before risking).. will do that after my "management Information Systems" exam this saturday (yeah i know i know, "saturday exam?" you ask - thats what university, well, McGill University anyways, is all about)

AIUGA is supposed to be Tbred A.

Whatever the case take a look at Overclockers.com CPU database.

The average overclock for Tbred XP2200 is 2107. Not bad but nowhere near the average overclock of 2338 Mhz for the XP2100 which is definitely Tbred B only.

<b>99% is great, unless you are talking about system stability</b>

hmmmm, average of 2100Mhz huh ? well, i think thats all my mobo will support anyways (top I can use is a Barton 2500) - we'll see what I can do, and I'll just have to be happy with that till I can grab a new mobo (hopefully by the end of the summer) and then a new CPU (maybe even wait till some DDR2 comes out)... anyways, will post on my OC results once I install it and flash me BIOS !
