Hello, I have a 2x8 gb ddr4 3200 ram that I have been using for quite a while. The numbers for it are 16-18-18-36. I had purchased a new 2x16 kit of 3200 speed ram with 16-18-18-38. Did not notice the difference in the last digit until recently. Computer becomes unstable when I have both installed and I enable DOCP to run at 3200 speed but is fine otherwise. My overall system is R5 2600 and a RTX 2060 so I’m trying to get the 3200 speed as Ryzen gets better performance on higher speeds

Solution
The small difference in timings should not be a problem. The newer RAM should just drop to the slightly slower timing to match your old RAM. Rather than enabling DOCP, try setting the RAM speed and timings manually in the BIOS. Set all the sticks to the lower 16-18-18-36 and 3200MHz.
