Mixed Brand SLI?

Hey! I would like to SLI a Asus Strix GTX980 and a Gigabyte Windforce GTX980.
Do you guys think this is possible? I found the Gigabyte for a decent price and was wondering if I should go through with it.

Yes it is possible to SLI different brands of the same GPU. If you want to do it then go for it, but do be aware that not all games support SLI.

Brands dont matter in SLI.
Normally, I wouldnt really recommend SLI, but if you play games that support it, and given the current market for GPUs, it might be a decent idea.

i've got mixed brands, no problem - msi afterburner has an option to have settings match, (just a reminder for those using 10xx series you might have issues getting your high bandwidth sli bridge to connect - so you should use two flex ribbons instead -not 1).
