Hy everyone!
When these units came up earlier this year there was a lot of talking about it over the web, but I just came to realize one thing: There are 3 different specs for the Xeon E5-1650.
Intel's product brief (which has been replicated by server companies) says 15MB L3:
http://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/product-briefs/xeon-e5-brief.pdf
Intel Ark says 10MB:
http://ark.intel.com/products/64601/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5-1650-(10M-Cache-3_20-GHz-0_0-GTs-Intel-QPI)
Everyone else says 12MB:
http://www.cpu-world.com/news_2011/2011091901_Prices_of_Intel_Xeon_E5-1600_series_CPUs.html
http://www.sabrepc.com/p-2807-intel-cm8062101102002-xeon-e5-1650-romley-29ghz-six-core-12mb-l3-cache-socket-2011-130w-server-processor-tray.aspx
Every reseller I've seem claims to be 12MB as well.
So, is Intel mistaken once or twice about their own product?
Thanks!
