Hey. I just want to know if I will encounter any problems running 2 rams, both of which run on 2400mhz but are of different latency. Current 8Gb ddr4 ram I have is cl17, the one I want to install in other dimm slot is 16gb cl16. Am I safe?

Oh and also current one is single ranked and the 16gb one is dual ranked but after reading some threads I think I am safe with that. Or not?

Mixing and matching RAM is bad in general even if the speeds (MHz) and timings (CL, etc) match up. Some say even matching the same brand isn't good enough, if the RAM doesn't come in a kit there is no guarantee it will be stable. If you have RAM with different timings it can cause system instability. It will not damage the PC but it may cause system instability such as lockups or crashes. You can try installing it and if it causes issues, take the stick out.
