Mixing Corsair HXi and HX cables.

So I have a HX1200i and a HX750 PSU. I wonder if the cables are compatible with each other since one of them is an i series.

More specifically, I want to use the 8 to 2x 6+2, and the 6 to 6 from the 1200i on the 750.

It depends. The HXi and the HX Gold both use Type 3 cables. The HX Platinum uses Type 4 cables.
