Hello guys :)
I have an ASUS Prime h310m-e Maximum ram speed supported is 2666
I have HyperX Fury 8GB 2400MHz 1 stick installed on the board, I wanted to add another same brand HyperX Fury 8GB 2400MHz but I couldn't find it in my country I only found a 3000MHz one so the question is I have 2400 installed and my motherboard supports only to 2666 so If I put a 3000 will it work? same brand same timings but different speed!

Solution
Mixing RAMs is 50:50 chance of them working together.

However, 3000 Mhz RAM alone can work in your MoBo and that on standard JEDEC speed of 2133 Mhz. If 3000 Mhz RAM also has XMP profile for 2666 Mhz or 2400 Mhz, then it can work at those speeds as well.

Though, do note that when you install 2400 Mhz rated and 3000 Mhz rated RAM and IF they do work together, they both could work either only in 2133 Mhz or only in 2400 Mhz.

The more you have common between two individual RAM sticks, sold separately (e.g brand, model, size, timings, speed etc) - the better the chance of them working together. However, do note that even when you buy two identical sticks separately, there is no guarantee that they work together. Only when you buy two or more sticks in a set, there is guarantee of them working together.
