Mixing dual channel memory

Hi,

I have a dual channel ram:
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL

Is it ok, if I buy someother branded dual channel ram from some good deal and add it to this pair to get 16GB?

My mother board is ASRock H97M Pro4 - supports dual channel upto DDR3 1600

I have installed the following setup and it works just fine for the past 1 month.

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB DDR3 1800
-- Total 12GB

Motherboard: ASRock H97M Pro4 - set at 1600
