Mixing fittings and water block materials

I was wondering if I use brass fittings will anything be wrong with using nickel or copper water blocks

Nickel copper and brass are okay. As you know just don't mix in aluminum.
Have in mind that its not good to use silver + nickel, in case you use silver for growth.
Also check for some inhibitors and biocide to keep it safe.
There are a lot on the marked, just take any popular(check in other forums, like overclock.net) and you should be fine.
