Mixing G.Skill RipjawsX 8gb(2x4gb) CL9 and RipjawsX 16gb(2x8gb) CL10..is this ok?

I currently have G.Skill RipjawsX F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1866MHz

And I just ordered G.SKILL RipjawsX Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866

So the only differences that I can tell are the sizes and Latencies (CL 9 vs 10). Would it be ok to mix these and if so should I install the same sizes on the same channel or different channels?

they might work if they have same jedec settings but mixing ram is not a warranty of good result you could use cpu-z spd to check the jedec and try one old with one new in the first channel to see if they work and at witch speed before adding the other in the same order on the other channel .
