[SOLVED] Mixing RAM sticks

I upgraded my RAm to 2x8gb 2666mhz, I now have a spare 4gb of 2400mhz and two empty slots. Is it of any benefit to add the spare 4gb stick?

I don't think it would be right or simply you cannot mix RAM with diffrent frequencies but ah, it is possible to mix RAM of different sizes and companies with same frequency
