Does mixing different brand of ram work with the same speed and same cas latency?

Mixing RAM even when using the same brand and model RAM can cause this below:

• You mix the RAM and everything works fine.
• You mix the RAM and you have instability issues.
• You mix the RAM and the system doesn't post.

I would recommend NOT mixing RAM. If you want to upgrade to a certain amount of RAM you just replace the old one you have and you buy a new RAM Kit in the 2 sticks format.

It's a total guessing game when you mix RAM. If you already have the RAM you can try. Nothing to lose.

I have 8gb 2666mhz cl 19 and I want to add another 8gb with the same speed and cas latency so I could play PUBG with minimum settings.
