Mixing two brands of RAM

I have
CPU- Core2Duo E8400 @ 3GH
Mobo- Asus P5Q Pro


And current RAM is Gskill F2-6400CL4D-4GBPK 2x2GB
CAS Latency 4-4-4-12, speed DDR2-800 (PC2 6400), Test Voltage 1.8 Volts, Type 240-pin DIMM

If I put 2 more sticks of Kingston DDR2-800 (PC2 6400) RAM 2x2GB, will it create any problem? CAS Latency may be different in the new RAM sticks. Will it do any harm to motherboard?

Same RAM as old GSkill is not available anymore. I want 8GB total but 4GB sticks are not available in DDR2-800 type. So I am thinking of adding 2 more sticks, making total 4x2GB=8GB. Will this work on a dual channel board?

If I mix, how should I put them? Old Gskill in slots No. 1 & 2 or 1 & 3?

For dual channel ram you want to insert the modules in Slots 1 & 3, or 2 & 4.

AFAIK you want to match the speeds (unless you are willing to see your faster RAM being clocked down), so you're fine there. I am sure you can manually set the timings in the BIOS to match them.

how is 8gb gonna help you?? 4gb with a ddr2 module already seems quite enough.

Dont worry this work without problem. Because my memory is 2 kingston ddr2 1gb 1 samsung 2gb ram works well

It should work without any problem. The mobo is designed to handle cases like that.
