Mixing two different intel Xeon Processors ?

Hi all,
i have HP z820 that came with single (Intel Xeon CPU E5-2620 0 @ 2.00GHz) processor, can i put another different cpu beside that one (for example E5-2630 or E5-2640) ?

and is Intel Xeon CPU E5-26xx V2 family compatible with my workstation ?

My HP z820 spece:
CPU: 1 intel Xeon E5-2620 0@ 2.0GHz
Graphic card : 1 nVidia Quadro 2000
memory: 16 GB DDR3 UDIM

As far as I know, for best performance, you should pair up the same 2 processors for multi-cpu use. Having said that, pairing mis-matched CPU's most likely will work, but it probably won't be all that efficient.
