Mobile getting connected to wifi but internet speed is slow

My Samsung galaxy S running on android 4.0.1 is getting connected to my Dlink dsl adsl2 N300 2750U modem + router through wifi. The connection remain steady but the internet speed is slow. Rest of my mobiles are working perfectly on same router. Can anyone help to solve this one?

What plan do you have? if it's a low ier plan one device doing something can easily Max your throughput

Download Wi-Fi analyzer and See what channel you are on, you could be overlapping other connections which could cause issues as well for me My android lg g3 never has seemed to have great signal but is still better than most apple devices

Both the mobiles are using same channels but the mobile working fine has somewhat higher signal strength while defective one has a little less signal strength. Now how do i change the channel for one mobile only?

you cant the wifi channel will be the same for all the devices, is it a dual band system or just 2.4? you could always add a network extender where you need it and link it a hair before where you are having issues so it will boost the signal
