Mobility Radeon 9700 - 64MB or 128 MB - worth extra money?

Im looking at a laptop and trying to decided if $129 is worth it to
upgrade the 64MB mobility radeon 9700 to 128MB.

Im going to play some games older games like; gta 3/vc, nascar 2003,
quake 3, half life. But I also have newer games like Far Cry and Unreal
2004.

I thought I saw a benchmark of a 9000 64 vs 128 and there was no
performance gains, but that was a older video card with older benchmarks.

I couldnt find any 9700 64 vs 128 benchmarks and is the 128MB version
going to give much better performance then the 64MB version?

Modern games are starting to benefit from 256MB, and 128MB is a pretty
standard requirement for decent amounts of eye candy these days.

I have no idea about mobile chipsets though.

Well, I had m9000 with 64mb ram, and older games like Neverwinter brought it
to knees, when using 1024 res with high textures. My new laptop with
m9600pro 128mb ram, can fly that game at max settings at 1200x res ! I think
64 is now on the lower end.

One answer: If you have Far Cry, you will want 128 MB..
I haven't tried Unreal 2004,but I'm sure this game will benefit as well.

The second important thing is: You won't be able to upgrade your graphics
later, so you'd better get the extra graphics-ram now.
