Mobo and Cpu upgrade

So i had problems with my previous cpu and ive decided to upgrade to a z77 extreme 4 mobo and an i5 3570k. I have an oem copy of windows 7 and im under the impression that i will have to rebuy windows.However, ive read that if i contact support they may be able to renew it for me. Also does that mean all my files will get cleared i cant get on my computer because of cpu problems so i cant back up everything and i also have an ssd with files on it.

go with a z87 motherboards there good for the k series intel cpu's and i dont think should have any problems 😉

well sadly yes because the old windows you have contains old drivers cpu,motherboard,etc. so it will not work properly one way to do is install a fresh copy of windows on new motherboard and cpu that way its better but if you have important info,music,videos,documents,etc. you can copy and paste to you're flashdrive
