Hi im making a new build and i wanna see if everthing is going to work properly and be compatible. Here are the specs

MSI P41-C31 Motherboard - Socket 775, Intel G41, ATX, DDR3, PCIe, USB 2.0

Corsair XMS3 TW3X2G1333C9A 2GB Dual Channel DDR3 RAM

Intel Pentium Dual-Core E6500 Processor BX80571E6500 - 2.93GHz

Ultra LSP550 550-Watt Power Supply - ATX

Cooler Master RC-310-BWN1-GP Elite 310 Mid-Tower Case - ATX, mATX

ATI Radeon HD 5770

My budget is $500

Yes compatible... Good decision No 🙁

You be better served by going with an AMD Athlon II X3 435 build & AM3 motherboard. Also, I would look for a better quality brand PSU than Ultra. I would look at the Antec BP550 or an OCZ PSU for a suitable replacement. The PSU is one area you don't wan to skimp out.

Okay then, should i switch out the E6500 for a corei3 530? and then the ram 4gb. Then drop down the GPU and put a EVGA P55 mobo?

New specs:

Intel Core i3 530 Processor BX80616I3530 - 2.93GHz

EVGA P55V SLI Motherboard - Intel P55, Socket LGA1156

Corsair XMS3 TW3X4G1333C9AG 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 RAM

Cooler Master RC-310-BWN1-GP Elite 310 Mid-Tower Case - ATX

EVGA 01G-P3-1450-TR GeForce GTS 450 FPB Video Card - 1024MB GDDR5

Ultra LSP550 550-Watt Power Supply - ATX
(i keeping this power supply because its decent and it has lifetime warranty if anything goes wrong 😛)

Please tell me if this is a good suggestion ^ ^ Or for the GPU have SLI 9800GT's

And may i ask why the E6500 is not that great? I will be playing these types of games

Games: All 1600x900 res (maximum res of my monitor)

Oblivion
Battlefield 2
Battlefield 2142
NFSMW
Crysis
Metro 2033
Half-life 2
Dragon Age
Fable I, II, III
etc
