So I build a new computer and just my luck, there is a problem...

The mobo is giving me one long then three short beeps which is no vga detected. No sure why.

My dad looked thru it and called tech support for the mobo and they said it was probably the ram..

Mass had a tax free weekend and microcenter had some good saving so I had bought everything there.
For ram I got

CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 Desktop Memory Model CMZ16GX3M2A1600C9

Yeah, Asus put out a special QVL for the 8 GB sticks. These 2 - CORSAIR CMZ32GX3M4X1600C10(XMP) 32GB(8GBx4) PATRIOT PGD316G1600ELK(XMP) 32GB(8GBx4) are the only ones on it. Motherboard manufacturers can sometimes be a little picky about what memory will and won't work on their boards. The other memory, the ones you asked for are also not on ASUS's list. However - Corsair also does their own compatibility check. the memory he gave you is not on that list either so tech support might be right on that score. But, the memory you asked for IS on Corsair's list so it should work. You ought to be able to go back to the store you got it from and exchange it since it was their fault. Now these lists aren't always all inclusive but if the memory manufacturer (Corsair) tested it's own memory on that motherboard and didn't include those sticks in the compatibility list I would say that's the problem.

also check the box and mb bor the bios rev. the new bios 0403 has new cpu and code for ram. if the bios is at 0403 then it may be that mb does not like that ram. if it lower the 0403 bring the pc into micro center walk in support and see if they have a dimm that will post in the mb then have them flash the mb. with all of the bios updates.
