Either goes. Neither is "superior".
They're both just bog standard chipsets that will do the trick but won't cut it for anything seriously audio related.

The "S1220A" is a cheap version of the Realtek ALC1220. Some still claim the ALC12xx chipsets are much better than the older ALC89x series. In reality, the ALC12xx may have an advantage that is next to useless at the point it will actually matter to you. If it matters in a debate about sound quality with your listening gear, you need more than these chipsets.

They're "fine" and "work fine" and "sound fine".

Much more important is analog side on the MB (filters and preamps). Job for chip is quite simple, Convert Digital to Analog signal and except for some added features on some chips quality of sound is not affected.
