[SOLVED] MOBO - Bios Update Needed?

I bought a ROG Strix Z370-E Gaming mobo a few years ago, and never installed it on my machine. Everything I'm plugging into it (CPU, RAM, etc), are fully compatible, so there's no issues there. I'm about to finally install the board, and my question is:

1) Should I flash the Bios with the latest update, or just leave things the way they are since everything is basically plug and play as is?

depend on how many are the few years ago. there security updates, performance improvement etc
