Question Mobo bricked

If mobo is bricked, then is it better to go for mobo replacement or replacing the bios chip. Is replacing a bios chip suggestable for a dell inspiron 620.

I know a preprogrammed bios chip, will that chip be able to boot up after replacing the older one? Or do I need to buy a chip and then program it?

I don't know what you mean "a preprogrammed bios chip ". And if you will buy the same BIOS chip, and replace the old one, you should be able to boot the PC, if the problem is from the BIOS chip. But you will need to update the BIOS, you can get it from Dell.
