Mobo-cpu pins problem

i have problems with my powermac g5 dual 2.7 ghz mobo. the pins that's used to mate with the 970 procie were bent.

what tools do i need to repair this pins? my friend told me that static electricty is bad for the procie and mobo. even our bare hands.

any suggestions?

Uh, that's a tough one. Normally, you don't want to mess with the very tiny pins. Trying to fix it might cause you to bend more pins. Try bringing it in for repair. I'm pretty sure they'd end up replacing the socket, as there's nothing better to do.

i think apple won't replaced the socket.

is it safe if i use a magnifying glass that's used for repairing cellphones and a toothpick?

Well, it does look like something a toothpick can fix.

Be very very very careful though.

maybe my nikon d90 camera will also help if i switched to liveview mode then attached it to my television and zoom it to closest detail as possible. with a 500W halogen light for brighter and clearer vision.

but.............................the toothpick would also be static? or neutral?

I'm pretty sure that if you ground yourself, there isn't enough (nearly zero) static electricity while you're working to cause damage to the electronic components. Touch something metallic, like a faucet or a computer case, and start working.
