I recently killed my psu, i replaced it, pc turns on, except i think the harddrive got corrupted in some way...wont boot to windows. So i put in the xp cd, it loads up, inspecting hardware, etc.. then when it says setup is preparing to start windows or whatever, i get a blue screen with an error saying how partmgr.sys caused an error...And today i got another error in the same spot just saying stop with a bunch of numbers {f000390909} ex.. any idea? or is it finally time to bite the bullet and take it in ?

Best bet would be to remove all hardware except the video card, 1 stick of ram, and the CDROM/HDD, and see if that makes a difference. You could have killed another component along with your PSU.

Also, you could try <A HREF="http://www.memtest86.com/" target="_new">MemTest86</A> to make sure your memory is OK.

Spec:
