Got a Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro AC, put just that in with the psu to update bios, and the mobo flickers for a less then a second, but nothing happens, no fans or anything. I put my other motherboard back in to see if the psu died or something, but the old one works. Could the motherboard be doa or maybe my psu can't handle the new mobo? Thanks in advance.

This is what happens when I cycle on the power, just the switch in the back. That's all I get from it.

Solution
Not enough of info to conclude that the motherboard is DOA.

Why don't you install the CPU and other components to see how it starts?

All I wanted to do was update the bios. I put in a stick of ram and the same thing. What I don't understand is why none of the cpu fans turn on with this mobo but the other one they do. Also I have new components for this mobo, theyre amd, the old ones are Intel so I cant test with the old parts. Would I be risking shorting the new ones if I test it and something is potentially wrong with psu or mobo?
