So a month ago my hdd's pcb got burnt and now today i received it and my bios doesn't detect it. The platter moves and i swapped it with other cables but nothing worked. What should i do?
The hdd is Seagate barracuda 500gb.

Rest of specs:
Asus m5a99fx pro
Amd fx 8320
Crucial ballistix 8gb ram

The model is ST500DM002 . Its pretty old drive. And can i swap the rom ? Where exactly do i find it ?
And i checked the device mgmt it shows some drive but with only 3.69gb .

The ROM is identified as "BIOS IC" in the following photo:

You must NOT damage this chip, otherwise data recovery will become extremely expensive, if not impossible.

If the original PCB has damaged inductors near the SATA power connector, then these can be bypassed with a piece of wire. There will usually be a shorted TVS diode which can simply be removed. That would be a safer approach, IMHO.
