I've tried finding solutions for 3 hours but still couldn't fix my problem.
Basically, I have the "ethernet unplugged" or "A network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken" error.
I have tried many, if not all, of the general solutions that is on google such as re-installing drivers, rebooting, installing driver from original website, changing to Speed & Duplex, activating network adapter in BIOS.
Furthermore, I noticed that when in BIOS and looking for onboard motherboard information, it shows:
"LAN_0 : Realtek, Disconnected"
which leads me to think that my ethernet cable is just not discoverable...

I need help!

With the TP LINK TG-3468 installed are you at least able go into the CMD prompt and type "ipconfig /all" (without quotes).

Post the results.

I also did some searching and found the following link:

https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=259446.0

Old but may be helpful: e.g., "Clear CMOS Guide".

And this link:

https://www.techwalla.com/articles/how-to-enable-an-ethernet-lan-controller

See the section Enable through BIOS.

You did mention "Disconnected" with respect to the LAN port. Double check for some Enable/Disable option.

Your BIOS configuration screens will be different and not match the "Steps" presented.

The objective is to find the applicable configuration to enable LAN.
Ethernet cable being "broken".

Some of the cables being produced are very low quality and have little or no QA (Quality Assurance) used to ensure they actually work.

You might regain connectivity by wiggling and twisting the cable especially around the connectors. If that happens then it is a good bet that there is a problem within the cable. Most likely with the physical termination connecting cable wires to the plug.

Try another known working Ethernet cable. Try the existing cable on another computer.

Determine if the problem follows the cable or stays with the computer.

If the latter then the Ethernet Network adapter may be the cause of the problem. Perhaps loose or broken.

Hello,

I have tried two ethernet cables already, both of them works on my previous desktop.
Furthermore, I couldn't find a solution going through all the forums so I came up with the conclusion that it is my LAN port.
So today, I went to buy a network adapter (TP LINK TG-3468) and it still doesn't work.

I can't even do any commands on the command prompt because it always end up in a failure or it says that media is disconnected when trying to renew ipconfig or any other commands...

Really hopeless right now...

EDIT: Even deconstructed my computer and rebuilt it, re-installed windows, tried to download drivers from USB through DVD, reset network settings. NEED HELP!!
