I have the rog strix z370-h gaming mobo and it only has 2 fan headers. I have 5 fans already installed on the chasis, but 2 of them are not connected due to no more fan connections on the mobo. These are led fans with 3 pins. Will this 4 pin adapter work on my 3 pin led fans, Even if the adapter is 4 pins?

Solution
Yes,that will work. But you may not be able to control fan speed depending on your BIOS. And anything other than full speed will dim the LEDs if the fans are DC controlled (3-pin).

One other thing to be aware of... most motherboard fan headers have a 1 amp max load capacity. What 3 x fans are you connecting to a single header?
