Hi Tom's hardware

So i got my hands on a cheap i5 10400F and now I'm looking for a motherboard for the chip.

My problem is this: I'm not sure whether i should buy the Z490 chip or just a H410 or B460. The difference in price between the boards are nearly double, and the main reason for buying a Z490 would be that i could use higher RAM speeds which would give the processor between 5-10% xtra fps in games (which is my main use of my computer).

The question is whether it is worth it? I was kinda looking for a budget upgrade, but since i rarely change hardware I am also looking to futureproof as much as i can.

What do you think?

Well, got me exited there for a moment. Hadn't heard about that tech, but it seems that what it does is more or less nothing, according to

I'm assuming nobody have any other results with asrock's BFB? If not we're back to a discussion of xtra memory clocks to boost performance of the cpu or maybe buying 2666 mhz ram with lower CAS? 🤔
