Mobo "glows", but will not power on at all

UPDATE: The motherboard appears to indeed be faulty. After swapping it out for another, I was able to power it up...sort of. I'm pretty sure the CPU is faulty, now, but that's a different topic. Thanks!

I'm working with an ASUS B-350, plus a Ryzen 2700.

This is actually a replacement for another B-350 that failed after three days. After trying to install the replacement, I could not get beyond the power button failing to do anything. When hooked up and given power from the PSU, the motherboard still glows as if it's in standby.

I reconnected the front panel connectors a dozen times over, checking and re-checking the configuration from the manual to be sure I was doing it correctly for that motherboard. I tried switching the Power and Reset buttons on the case, which work fine when used with another motherboard. I stripped it down to the standoffs in case one was misaligned, but they were all correct.

Part of me thinks it's a dead board, part of me doesn't, but I can't for the life of me figure out how this can be.

I'm dumb. I wasn't aware the board did not natively support the Ryzen 2000-series. After replacing it with an X470 board, it's working perfectly well. Thanks!

Have you tested the power button, sometimes it can be simple things. If you short the pins on the motherboard that are for the power button with a screwdriver, and it works then its probably a dead button. It does not seem like dead components at first glance because if they are dead, often the computer will begin to turn on, then the protection in the power supply will trip a split second later. (Not all the time, but a lot of the time).
