mobo has 3 pin power led header ? psu has only two power led connectors( + , - )

hi motherboard manual diagram tells 3 pins for connecting power LED

but front panel in my cabinet has only two connectors for POwer LED ...

The photo shows that the center pin is a dummy or not used pin. The photo shower what pin is the hot or plus side. The photo shows the ground or neg side of the led.

A lot of the older cases used to have power lights that had a 3 hole connector (only used two leads) in them. I would try plugging the 2 wire connector onto the MOBO making sure you have the positive's lined up. Often both of the other pins on the mother board are ground. If it still doesn't work, you can always remove the ground wire from the connector and splice it to any ground pin on the MOBO or on the power supply if you need to.

so i have to connect hust + and -ve ?

BTW , most of my front panel headers didn't have +ve and _ve written over it BUT when i checked there is a Black arrow on one side .. is that the Positive side ?

yeah i think that arrow marked sides are +ve ones because the black wires(negative as u say) are on the other side Arrow marked side ANd there is one connector (HDD led) in which +ve and -ve are mentioned clearly and in that connector -ve is black wired.

so i guess arrowed sides are positive and black wired sides are negative . this matches for all headers except my HD audio header .. The HD audio connector can go only one way into my mobo and there is also Arrow mark in my HD audio header too. But that arrow marked header matches with GND pin mentioned in mobo HD audio header . so its confusing now
